This Liverpool bit has a fixed, not sliding, cheek. It is designed for use with a pair, to protect against potential pinching caused by a coupling rein. The arched, unjointed mouthpiece is reversible, with one side barred (or serrated) and the other smooth. Care should be taken when fitting the curb chain or strap.
