The driving bit also called liverpool has 2 or 3 reins slots. This jawpiece is used specifically for driving and harnessing. This jawpiece allows the driver to adjust the leverage from none to heavy. The lower the reins are placed the sharper the bit. The jawpiece with two guide slots therefore has a milder leverage than the 3 slot driving bit.

This mouthpiece is a bar with a low tongue bow. The bar gives slight tongue clearance and provides good pressure distribution on the layers. This bit is not suitable for an inexperienced rider.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse's salivation. This will cause the horse to foam more, which improves acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of TRUST bits to brownish gray.
