Trust Sweet Iron Liverpool bit 2 slot medium port
Article code | 2271 |

The driving bit also called liverpool has 2 or 3 reins slots. This jawpiece is used specifically for driving and harnessing. This jawpiece allows the driver to adjust the leverage from none to heavy. The lower the reins are placed the sharper the bit. The jawpiece with two guide slots therefore has a milder leverage than the 3 slot driving bit.
This mouthpiece is a bar with a medium tongue arch. The tongue arch provides more tongue freedom so that there is no pressure on the tongue but distributed over the layers. This makes the bit ideal for horses with a sensitive tongue or horses that stick out the tongue. This bit is not suitable for an inexperienced rider.
The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) humidity that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse's salivation. This will cause the horse to foam more, which improves acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of TRUST bits to brownish gray.
